Possum fur is regarded as the worlds’ only eco-friendly fur – its fur with a conscience! The possum was introduced in the 1800’s into NZ from Australia and it has no natural predators here, which means they bred profusely and in the meantime continue to destroy our forests and bird life. Possum fur is one of the softest furs in the world and is 8% warmer and 14% lighter than wool.
We use only the finest possum pelts available from the South Island. These furs are the thickest pelts available, are chrome tanned which means they are dry-cleanable and odour free.
