Possum Fur Product Care Instructions

Should you wish to clean, use a damp cloth with mild soapy solution and gently wipe over fur.  Rinse the cloth in cold water and wipe again to remove any excess soap. Then give a gentle brush (using our speciality brushes) to comb fur back into place.  Once fur is dry repeat with a gentle brush and give fur throw or garment a gentle shake.

- Moisture should never be applied to the suede side of skin.
- Do not use an iron or direct heat to dry fur as this may cause shrinkage.

- Always store fur in a ventilated dry place.  We do not recommend storing your possum fur throws away over the summer period.  Your throw is gorgeous and should always be on display which also ensures that the fur is kept aerated at all times.

Hide Out NZ only use the finest furs to create our luxurious range of products.  All our furs are chrome tanned which ensures softness, suppleness and silkiness in our furs.  Our furs are also dry-cleanable however we recommend dry-cleaning as the last resort.  Please only use a reputable specialist in fur dry-cleaning.  As a result of chrome tanning, the colour in the dyed furs will not run meaning the colour is colourfast.
